![]() Not a particularly significant thought, and I'm sure someone else has had the same idea but it closes a loop in the sad little Gwyndolin story nicely for me. Rather than show Anor Londo or the lordly father his deformed child, I believe Gwyn's court likely passed Gwyndolin off as a still birth or infant death and hid him away like a bastard son. Giants guard the royal capital, and Gwyn's family were all enormous themselves.īut why fake Gwyndolin's death? His grotesque appearance would have been a scandal in the capital and may have seriously damaged Gwyn's standing. Lastly, the resting place is guarded by a giant skeleton. This suggests the buried person was someone of significance. Second, the grave is conspicuously located on a pedestal and is not recessed into a wall unlike many other less notable coffins in the catacombs. This suggests to me that the body interred was an infant. First, there is a statue of a mother holding a baby above casket. ![]() Three pieces of evidence, along with the ring itself support the idea for me. Well, after locating the dark moon seance ring in the catacombs tonight, I believe that the location is a false grave for Gwyndolin. But why would Gwyn be unaware of his son's appearance or existence? Was he born when Gwyn was away? ![]() Gwyndolin instead used the illusion of his departed sister Gwynevere to conceal his malformed appearance from his father. Blows my mind that I been playing this game for ten years and this stuff still occurs to me. Was playing through the catacombs today after listening to some Hawkshaw video about Gwyndolin & Gwyn and had a thought.
